Best doggie Iphone Apps

Written by Rachel Phelps

Since the world is being taken over by the new iphone I thought it was time to let my loyal readers know which apps were best for us dog lovers. Mommy loves her apps but she quickly learned that you have to be picky on what you download and make sure they are actually useful or you just have screen after screen of “junk.” I personally want to get an ibone

But here are mommy’s top five.

  • Dog Park Finder (FREE)
Dog Park Finder helps you locate dog-friendly parks and training locations in your. The app includes information on more than 2,200 off-leash areas, user photos and more than 6,500 reviews, so you can have fun with your dog off the leash. This app is great when your traveling to find great places to stop with your puppy.
  • Pet First Aid ($1.99)
Pet First Aid helps you provide the basic care and attention that your four-legged friend might need in a medical emergency. The application shows our pet parents how to treat minor ailments with helpful videos, illustrations and detailed articles on subjects like cuts, choking, poisoning, bandaging and more. We hope you never need to use this app but it is great to have this info at your fingertips in case of an emergency.
  • Paw Card Pet Tracker (FREE)
Paw Card helps you keep track of our vital information. Use it to record your pet’s veterinary contacts, vaccinations, identification tags, medical conditions and medication. Additional features include a graph of your dog’s weight over time, the ability to write notes or journal entries. Ok maybe some doggies don’t like the weight graph but you can always tell them not to show anyone how much you really weight
  • Dogbook (FREE)
DogBook is a social networking application for dogs. Like Facebook, users can keep people updated with what’s going on in their dog’s life, friend fellow dogs (and even cats, horses, fish and ferrets), share photos, and find great animal-friendly places to meet up.
  • PETfinder.com (FREE)
Petfinder.com, the original and best adoptable-pet site, lets you search more than 290,000 pets from over 13,000 shelters and rescue groups right from your phone on the go!

So start downloading those apps! If you have another great doggie app please comment below. We would love to try it out!
