As the Amazing Pet Expo official online ambassador we learn about wonderful animal rescue organizations that will be at upcoming shows. Its the Pets Dog Rescue is one of thoses that will be at the San Diego Pet Expo on March 1st with great animals available for adoption.
It’s The Pits Dog Rescue
I
t’s The Pits is a 501c3 canine rescue that coordinates the fostering and adoption of dogs that haven’t yet found their permanent home. We specialize in American Staffordshire Terriers (“Am Staffs”), Staffordshire Bull Terries (“Staffy’s”), and American Pit Bull Terriers, but will do our best to help all breeds, often by referral to other local rescues that specialize in that type of dog. You can find many of these on our links page. We are located in San Diego county, as are all of our foster homes. We work alongside our fosters to give the dogs a temporary and loving home before they are placed into permanent homes. We rescue dogs from various shelters, evaluate them, ensure they are healthy, and then match them with the appropriate family. We take pride in matching the best dog for the individual family that contacts us. We do this by matching the activity level of the dog to the family’s needs, as well as making sure that the other pets in the home work well with the new addition to the pack. All of this is important in finding the forever home for our rescued dogs.
Meet Daisy
Hi, I’m Daisy! I’m one of Dahlia’s Darlings and the last of her babies still searching for her forever home. Even my momma has been adopted! I’m a real sweet girl that my ITP people call their little “social butterfly.” I guess that means I love people! And other dogs! And even kitties! There really isn’t anyone that I’ve met that I haven’t liked 🙂 I love to run around the yard and play with my foster doggy-siblings. When it’s time to settle down I just love to cuddle! I’m super smart and I know lots of tricks like, “sit”, “lay down”, “come”, “crate”, “stay” and I know not to jump. My people say I’m a great catch! So if you’re looking to add a smart, social, sweet, pretty brindle gal to your family, I may just be your pup!
Meet Elli
Hi, I’m Ellie of Ella’s Enchantments! Me and my 5 siblings were all rescued by ITP along with our Momma, Ella. She’s real pretty and sweet. ITP thinks our Daddy must be a Labrador as we all look like little Lab mixes. Ella was such a good Mom to us but now that we’re a little older we’re ready to find our forever families. We are all having a lot of fun playing at the Puppy Pit and we’re learning all sorts of lessons, like how to play nicely and be good in our crates. We are all cute, affectionate and playful little pups who can’t wait to meet you!
