As an Amazing Pet Expo official blog ambassador we learn about wonderful animal rescue organizations that will be at upcoming shows. Ay Chicuahuas one of those that will be at the Austin Pet Expo at the Palmer Event Center from 10 am – 6 pm with great animals available for adoption.

About The Ay Chihuahua Rescue

Ay Chihuahua Rescue is an all volunteer-based, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Chihuahuas in Central Texas. We are solely funded by generous donations from our community members and adoption fees. We do not have a brick and mortar facility, so all our Chihuahuas live with volunteer foster families dedicated to improving their health and mental well-being. As the back-bone of our organization, our cherished foster families know that their participation truly means the difference between life and death for an at-risk Chihuahua. This also means that every dollar donated to ACR is used in direct support of the Chihuahuas in our adoption program! The more families willing to open their doors and hearts to foster Chihuahuas, the more lives we can save!

Meet Jasper

What can we say about JASPER except that you cannot help but fall in love with this little Bo Jangles… the dancing Chihuahua! Super affectionate, wicked smart, and able to climb chain link fences with the greatest of ease! JASPER’s forever family will have an escape proof fence, and if you have a dog door – he mastered that in seconds flat! He is an amazing little man! JASPER is barely a year old and 5.8 lbs. He is house trained, crate trained (just don’t ask him to be quiet about it!), and leash trained! He loves to meet new people and bonds strongly and quickly to confident caregivers. He needs to gain about a full pound to get past the emaciated waif of a dog he is now. JASPER just loves cheeeeeese and will dance in circles standing on his back legs to get some!

Meet Vinny

YO VINNY! FUGETABOUTIT! We got your new forever family right here! VINNY is 2 years old and a tiny 5.5 lbs – but that compact little frame holds a *ton* of personality! New York name – Texas friendly attitude! VINNY really enjoys other dogs, and is an animated playmate. We think our next fundraiser will feature a “Kissing Booth” where VINNY will more than earn his keep! If we had a dollar for every kiss VINNY has given since he was rescued, we could probably save every Chihuahua in Texas! This boy is *made* for love! YO VINNY! Hang in there – a forever lovin’ family is headed your way!
