As an Amazing Pet Expo official blog ambassador we learn about wonderful animal rescue organizations that will be at upcoming shows. Meet Amber

Amber’s story has a sad start. She spent the first 5 years of her life in a kennel being a breeder dog. When she arrived in her foster home, she didn’t know how to eat from a bowl, go outside or enjoy going for a walk on a leash. Her teeth were rotten, so most of them were removed, but she still likes to chew an occasional bone. She has spent 4 months in a foster home learning how to be a part of a family and how to interact in a dog pack. She has come a long way, but still needs some TLC and patience when she has an accident in the house. Amber is a sweet little girl who is happy to sit on the couch most of the day or be by your side. She gets along well with cats and other dogs. She is spayed, current on vaccinations and ready for a forever family to call her own. When this cutie looks at you with her beautiful amber eyes your heart will melt. She just needs someone to show her there’s love in the world. Can you be the “happily ever after” for Amber?

Meet Rixy

Rixy is a senior beagle, approximately 12-13 years old, that needs a home that will love her for the final years of her life. She is sweet, and loving and would do well in a quiet home. She has trouble with her back legs but does manage to get around. Rixy is on a pain management routine to keep her comfortable since she is a senior with arthritis. She is considered a “special needs” dog because she occasionally has an accident in the house and she does require a little assistance getting outside to do her business. She is in a foster home getting the love and attention she deserves but she would ultimately like to find a home of her own to live out her senior years gracefully.
