As an Amazing Pet Expo official blog ambassador we learn about wonderful animal rescue organizations that will be at upcoming shows. Greyhound Adoption League of Texas is one of those that will be at the Dallas Pet Expo show June 8th at the Automotive Building in Fair Park from 10 am – 6 pm with great animals available for adoption.
About the Greyhound Adoption League of Texas
Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, Inc. (GALT) is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit corporation operating in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, throughout Texas and the United States since May, 2001. As of January, 2013, GALT has assisted more than 2,400 greyhounds in finding their forever homes.
Meet Charity
Charity, aka DG’s Afterburner, is a 11-year-old white and brindle female born January 1, 2002. Her sire is DG’s True Blue, and her dam is Kelso’s Pamela. There are two races to her credit at Raynham/Taunton, MA in July 2003. Charity arrived from the same source as Stetson, Onyx, Blade, Cupcake, Timex, Carbon, Harry, Clooney and Stewart. Unfortunately Charity, like the nine others, was also heartworm positive. She has been through quite a roller-coaster of treatment for various complications, but nine months later, she is finally healthy!
Meet Sammy
Sammy is an 11-year-old red fawn male. He is untattooed, but we were told when he arrived that he was born in June 2002. Sammy and Silvia are littermates! This sweet, big guy is ready for a home and family to call his own.
Sammy is not cat tolerant, and should not live with small dogs either.

One of my coworkers is owned by a greyhound and they really are such amazing, smart animals!
GALT is one fantastic Greyhound adoption group! I hope they
find homes for a lot of hounds from the event!
