The @PetSafe FroliCat Dart Review

Written by Rachel Phelps

It’s the cats Dr. Pepper and Mr. Pibb here again.  We are so impressed!  Preston is really moving along with our list of demands (ATTN: The Cats have taken over). Now we wish we had added more … hehehe.

He has agreed to be more careful with our FroliCat Dart.  We really enjoy playing with this toy from from Petsafe, but Preston goes absolutely crazy with it.  What is the FroliCat you ask?  Well, it is a really neat device that has two rotating lasers (the red dots) that your parents can put on the floor and it will automatically move the lasers around for us to chase.  The red dots move in a circle, jump around, and randomly switch directions … so it really keeps us on our toes.  With four speeds and four directions, there are a total of sixteen different combinations.  It even comes with a timer so that it will run for five, ten, fifteen or twenty minutes before shutting off.  If your parents are like ours, there is no way we can convince them to shine a red laser around for ten minutes, much less twenty.  So the timer allows us to have a longer play time (and exercise).

We hate to admit it, but this toy is also great for dogs that chase lasers too.  However, they have to be under constant supervision as they are rough with cat toys.  For example, Preston likes to knock the FroliCat Dart over.  Of course, then the laser can’t rotate correctly and we can’t play.

Here is a video of Preston and Mr. Pibb playing together.  It is kind of dark, but then again, how else can you see the laser lights (duh)?  This is a toy that brings different species together to play … which is rare for cats and dogs!

So, if you want to keep both your dogs and cats happy, consider getting them a PetSafe FroliCat Dart.  For more information and to purchase, go to http://store.petsafe.net/frolicat-dart.
