Wayward Whiskers Cat Rescue is an independent rescue in San Antonio that pulls exclusively from the city’s high-kill municipal shelter. We focus on the injured, sick and special needs cats and kittens that are either surrendered to the shelter or brought in as strays. We provide medical care and a comfortable environment until they are ready to be placed in their forever home.
Hi, I’m Blaze
Blaze was rescued from Schertz Animal Control. She is a gorgeous, sleek black kitty with just a hint of orange on her legs. She is sweet, laid back, and very friendly. She needs a great home where she can love on you and get lots of attention!
Blaze is about one year old. She is spayed, negative for FIV and FeLV, and has all her shots.
Hi, I’m Leo
Leo was found at an apartment complex in bad shape. He had been attacked by a dog and his throat was ripped open. He was stitched up, neutered, and put on strict cage rest for six weeks. At first he was very shy and wary of any human, but after some time and attention he is now a total snuggle bug. He LOVES people and just wants to be pet and loved on, he doesn’t even mind being picked up! He follows me around and just wants to be pet and loved on.
