Dr. Emmo’s Pet First Aid review

Written by Rachel Phelps

Recently, I was approached about doing a review on a pet first aid product.  My first question was “Do I have to get hurt to do the review?”  If so, then my brother Elvis the intern can do it!  I don’t like pain at all!  Luckily, Mom reassured me that no Westies would be harmed in performing this review.

I received a package Dr. Emmo’s pet first aid products that included: a bottle of wound care wash, wound care spray gel, and ear care rinse.  Little did I know I was going to need the ear rinse during my Cross Country Tail Wagging Tour!  Two days before we were supposed to leave, I started digging at my left ear.  I had to go to the vet for an exam and get a culture done of my ear junk.  I found out I had a bacteria infection and was sent home with this cream stuff to put in my ears twice a day.  They also said I needed daily ear rinses.  Perfect timing – Mom took the bottle of Dr. Emmo’s with us.

All of Dr. Emmo’s first aid products use safe Pet-clenz technology to fight infections caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi.  This technology seeks out these pathogens, surrounds them, and tells those bad germs to get out of here and kills them using Hypochlorous acid.  All of their products are natural and anti-biotic free so that they are safe to use on all pets.  They also contain a special antimicrobial solution that kills bacteria – I was hoping this would help get these bacteria out of my ear ASAP.

The Dr. Emmo’s Ear Care Rinse is used just like a regular ear rinse.  It is a three-step process that goes something like this:

  1. Your humans pin you down and squirt this liquid in your ear while you frantically try to get away.
  2. Then they put a cotton ball in your ear, move it around, pull it out, and a bunch of “junk” comes out.
  3. Then you jump up, shake your head, and get that rinse all over your rents as much as possible!  hehehehe.

The ear rinse doesn’t sting and is safe to lick if we decide to try to get it off our fur.  It also doesn’t smell bad like many medicines either.

Dr. Emmo’s wound care is a two-step process that works for pets with minor cuts, scrapes, and skin infections.  First, your rents use the fine cleansing spray to rinse and remove the germs.  Then, they put the wound care spray gel on the wound.  This gel continues to clean and help protect the injury through the healing process.

Overall, I have to give the ear care rinse two ears up.  In a week my infection was gone and my ears were all clean and handsome again.  I bet the other wound care products are also great and if I get hurt again, I’ll be using them for sure.  To learn more about the Dr. Emmo’s products and to purchase your own bottles, go to: http://petclenz.com/
